We will need the following details:
  • Your telephone number and email
  • Insurer and type of policy
  • Any policy warranties
  • Insured and their address
  • Insured's contact details for access
  • Address of incident
  • Date of incident
  • Brief details of incident
  • Purpose of investigation
  • Type of report required

We will check that we have not been instructed by another party and confirm your instructions by email.

Service Standards


We aim to:
  • Be available 24 hours a day and acknowledge your instructions by email
  • Be on site the same day (within 3 hours travelling time of Glasgow)
  • Tell you when we will be there
  • Contact the Insured to advise of our attendance
  • Be there on time or advise of delay
  • Advise you by telephone of our findings each day we are on site
  • Submit written reports timeously
  • Be courteous in all dealings with witnesses
  • Agree all additional work with you before undertaking it
  • Be impartial in our conclusions
  • Keep costs to a minimum
  • Conduct our investigations in accordance with best practice and our quality procedures.
Reports
Our reporting is prompt, comprehensive and clear to a level of detail agreed with the client.
We avoid the use of technical jargon, as far as possible.

Summary Reports
- Are designed to report investigations where there is little or no prospect of recovery or repudiation.
Preliminary Reports - Describe the investigation in more detail where warranted by the size of the loss or the possibility of legal action.
Full reports - Are prepared into major losses or for submission to court.
